On his blog..

I was ‘shocked’ that a ‘learned’ person as he could actually give that example.. and leave the guess work to the employees as to what he meant!!!

Haha..

Simple principle – if there is a resource created, it’s value has to be utilized..

just as these people keep writing about how they want to use employees to the max. ( did u read the sugarcane crusher example our ‘learned’ COO put up?)

why not apply the same to systems – an inherent approach that they want to overlook perhaps??

Or that they don’t hv priorities right as to what they need to extract the most out of???

Hi Shrikant

Saw yr comment on techmate on function info update on mybeat..

The intranet is managed by internal comms (our group).

We are in the process of getting it updated – actually are aiming at a new website, so things a little fluid.

But noted your point – and will update at the earliest.

Thx

Vrinda

Mahesh, With due kudos to the team for taking in inputs from all and marching ahead to implement the right approaches, I have a query which belongs to multiple areas so as far as I know, and people I spoke to say no one owns it in particular.
It is a joint effort of multiple groups and it would depend on which one takes the initiative to get this done.
The Spectrum links esp. the one titled 'Functions' seems to be totally our of sync with the real status of functions our company is curretly in - or so I believe.
I am putting this query under people processes because I think timely and correct information dissemination to employees is part of people processes.
From my past work experience, I understand that such key information regarding organization functions helps employees who are relatively new to an organization and not familiar with the right people, to be able to navigate through the intranet portal to gather relevant information. Also for people who need relevant information quickly, a part purpose of a company intranet portal is to disseminate such information.
Hence the query is, as part of people process improvement, will this link be kept up to date in the new initiatives, new IDUs their relevant information etc. being taken by whichever group owns it under people processes?
If this query does not belong here, I would like to know who could address it.
Thanks again for all the new changes coming soon to the neighborhood :)
