Hi Friends,
Amazingly, the two years that I have spent with Tech Mahindra have been so adventurous in the true sense of the word that I really find it incredible that I have myself decided to bid Goodbye to the company, its people and my project.
Friday, the 13th (of July), the ominous sounding date, was when I joined Tech Mahindra and today 13th of August, is when I am finally saying Goodbye to it, exactly after 2 years and one month.
I have enjoyed as well as got worked up with the 24*7 timelines I followed in this project. It has been a challenge, a learning experience, an amazing opportunity to grow and understand the dynamics of a hectic work life. For these two years, I have practically done nothing else except kept getting involved with TechM and Avalon more intricately than ever.
I have grown as an individual both personally and professionally. At least, I am slightly more well behaved : )
The requirements that I have worked on have been the most challenging and demanded the maximum number of night outs possible. They developed in me a confidence to work under pressure, interact, negotiate and even argue with people if what I believed was right.
I have met some of the most amazing people in Tech Mahindra. The heady mix of the attitudes and natures of people, their diverse backgrounds, the variety in language, culture and manners have been the colours of the canvas of my work life. I have even picked up a bit of Marathi. The networking that happened as a result of this, has been an absolutely exhilarating experience. Most of the people who have become the best of my friends are people I have never met and yet know them inside out only by interacting with them on calls and BT Communicator (IM has been a blessing!)
I wish to thank each one of you for your support, for tolerating my temper, for bearing with my mails (which I have heard are not very well received ;)), for declaring some umpteen number of times that I am rude and yet not actually so, for being there when I became confused and looked for support, for making my stay memorable in TechM.
CIT (Testing Team): I MUST extend a heartfelt gratitude to you! There has been no other team which has been so close to my heart, not even my own Development. Somehow, all of you have stayed in my mind practically all the time. Such was our relation, that though I have some of my close friends in CIT, the no of people who dislike me in CIT by far exceeds any other list : ) I am not carrying any grudges. In fact, please let it be known that I meant no harm. The nature of our work is such that there are bound to be face-offs!
Ajay: Our friendship goes a little longer than your CIT time where we had more issues than good will. I guess, all the goodwill between us comes since your CAT days and well, the airport meeting
Priyank, Usman, Harman, Sushil, Thirumal- Cmon guys, it was fun. I mean the issues you raised and my mails in reply.
R(h)ama Rao, I guess, by now you know my name does not have an ‘H’. : )
Priti, Yogesh—We have often spoken on some issue or the other. Believe me, I really meant no harm.
Shreyansh-Somehow, despite never speaking directly, we aren’t, well, the best of friends. Maybe if we get some time in life, we realize that both of us weren’t so bad after all.
Design: Thank You so much! All of you have extended support which I have treasured. In moments of doubt, I have looked towards you and got an amazing response. All of you are just brilliant.
Deep: Though, we have just started talking, I absolutely love your way of working, your always-be-calm-even-if-ship-is-sinking attitude! I am sure you will be brilliant always. And hope we don’t stop talking even if I leave today.
Darwin: I have always been terrified of you, one of the very few people whom I was scared of. I have a deep respect for you and hope you do well.
Vijay: We have worked on some of the most complicated requirements which looked simple from start. Thanks!
Development: I must write a separate mail to you all, lest this mail reaches epic length proportions! Thanks in general. Wait for the next mail for the details.
TI: I love this team! Some of my closest friends in TechM are from TI starting from my dearest Unnayan!
Unnayan: You are one Amazing person. Amazingly dedicated to work, extremely finicky about processes and the email spamming TI Tool, has the most brilliant wit in Tech Mahindra, versatile, fast learner, and one of my earliest friends in TechM. I am sure you will do very well in life.
Apurv: Dearest Hobbes, will miss a friend! Hope you make it wherever you want to go! I just love the way you write on IM.
Saikat: You are amazingly brilliant at your work. You have helped me most when I was neck deep in problems. Thanks for all that.
Mayank : Sir jee, aapne tabhi yaad kiya jab rating mein error aaya : )
MAhendra and Veeresham: You guys deserve a personal vocal speech esp when you sit close enough. I always relied on you guys when I wanted solution ASAP. : ) And yet you made me log into that awesome TI tool.
BPP ASG: I know I am not very well liked here J I have seen examples of this on net meeting ;)
Jyoti, Priyanka, Piyali: Cmon girls, you know I am not rude. We have spoken nicely and yet that’s the feedback I get ;) At least make a note of all those environments I helped you restore with proper data for package installation ;)
Zafarrrr: Amazing relation with you. I deliver a package and get a call. : )
Avalon Support: Thanks for your all time support! Thanks for all those times when I realllllllly needed Live data and I was Not Given ;) (Just kidding). We have had face offs because apparently all deliveries of mine had a potential to create a big bang on live and you guys kept resisting it.
Hafees, Manoj: You are two people I must thank you personally. Please wait for my second mail. I have learnt more from you than any other person here. Both of you are extremely intelligent, hard working, approachable, willing to help, experiment and learn. Awesome!
Shrikant Mayekar: You have been an astounding Delivery Manager and an awesome friend. Amazingly gutsy, you have stood ground when there was need for it. May you succeed forever. AT
George: You are one fun loving person! AT/1680 : )

I have had memories with you that I am going to treasure for a long time. I really don’t wish to leave the company but at the same time wish to study more in life. Hence, with a very heavy heart I bid you all a goodbye till the time someday, one of you remembers me!
