| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?' He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is.' I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life.' True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be. With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I thought I could share with you. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have . I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did. 'Life isn' t about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.' |

Celebrate Earth day..every day
While Earth day was celebrated on 22nd April, we believe that it doesn’t need to stop at a day..Celebrate Earth day, every day. And some tips from us as to how we can do it!
z Plant trees. Learn more about the environment.
z Reduce, reuse and recycle all day long. Take your drink container with you, and don't use any disposable plates or cutlery. Recycle all the things you do use for the day or find other uses for things that you no longer use. Carry a cloth bag for carrying things in and recycle your plastic bags.
z Get children to recycle their old toys and games.
z Hold an Earth Day fair.
z Teach others about the environment
z Engage others in conversations about your environmental concerns.
z Cook a special Earth Day meal.
z Ride your cycle.
z Remember: Every day is Earth Day. Anything to help our environment is a perfect thing to do on Earth Day and every day. Don't restrict yourself to just one day a year; learn about how you can make a difference to environmental protection all the time. And put it into practice - every day!

A Full Glass Of Milk
The heart touching story.
Very nice story to share ...
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay, for his hungry stomach, decided he would ask for a meal at the next
house.
On the way through school, he found he had only one thin dime left and he was very hungry.
However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.
The woman thought he looked hungry, so brought him a large glass of milk.
He drank it slowly, and then asked, 'How much do I owe you?' 'You don't owe me anything,' she replied. 'Mother has taught us,never to
accept pay for a kindness.'
He said...'Then I thank you from my heart.'
Year's later that young woman became critically ill.
The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.
When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.
Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.
He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life, from that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.
He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room.
The woman feared opening it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all.
Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words...
'Paid in full with one glass of milk.' Signed, Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: Thank You,
God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands.'
A SIMPLE INSPIRATION
To fix a broken life, use the tools of the heart.

Why do we shout in anger? -
A saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?'
Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.'
'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'
Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.
Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'
Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'
The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens?
They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'
MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.

A Moral corporate story
We the night watchman
Once upon a time the government with Ruling Party XYZ.. had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert.
Ruling Party XYZ Said.. - "Someone may steal from it at night."
So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said..
- "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?"
So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said..,
- "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?"
So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One to do the studies and one to write the reports. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said.. ,
- "How are these people going to get paid?"
So they created the following positions, a time keeper, and a payroll officer, then hired two people. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said..,
- "Who will be accountable for all of these people?"
So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said..,
- "We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost."
So they laid off the night watchman.
Moral of the story:
"Current Situation In IT industries"
Connect Now!!
There was a farmer who grew superior quality and award-winning corn. Each year he entered his corn in the state fair where it won honor and prizes.
One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learnt something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors.
"How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?" the reporter asked.
"Why sir," said the farmer, "didn't you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field.
If my neighbors grow inferior, sub-standard and poor quality corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn.
If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn. "The farmer gave a superb insight into the connectedness of life.
His corn cannot improve unless his neighbor's corn also improves. So it is in the other dimensions!
Those who choose to be at harmony must help their neighbors and colleagues to be at peace. Those who choose to live well must help others to live well.
The value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. Success does not happen in isolation. It is very often a participative and collective process.
So share your good qualities with others.J

Nine things God won't ask
Ten things God won't ask:
1...God won't ask what kind of car you drove;
He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
2...God won't ask the square footage of your house,
He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
3...God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet,
He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
4...God won't ask what your highest salary was,
He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.
5...God won't ask what your job title was,
He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.
6...God won't ask how many friends you had,
He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
7...God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,
He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
8...God won't ask about the color of your skin,
He'll ask about the content of your character.
9...God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation,
He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

The Jews are NOT promoting brain washing children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths of Jews and other non Muslims!
The Jews don't hijack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in German restaurants. There is NOT one single Jew that has destroyed a church or a temple. There is NOT a single Jew that protests by killing people. All their protest are peaceful.
The Jews don't traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the Infidels.
Perhaps the world's Muslims should consider investing more in standard education and less in blaming the Jews for all their problems.
Muslims must ask 'what can they do for humankind' before they demand that humankind respects them!!
Regardless of your feelings about the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on Israel 's part, the following two sentences really say it all:
'If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel' -Benjamin Netanyahu

Five finger prayer
A Beautiful Five Finger Prayer
Praying for the
Health, Prosperity, Happiness and Guidance from Higher Intelligence:
1. Your thumb is nearest to you.
So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you.
They are the easiest to remember.
To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a 'sweet duty.'
2. The next finger is the Index Finger, the pointing finger.
Pray for those who teach, instruct, direct, guide and heal.
This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers.
They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction.
Keep them in your prayers.
3. The next finger is the Mid finger, the tallest finger.
It reminds us of our leaders.
Pray for the president, prime minister, leaders in business and industry, administrators, bosses, people in power.
These people shape our nation, guide public opinions and well being and are instrumental in ruling our destiny.
They need God's guidance.
4. The fourth finger is our Ring finger.
Surprisingly this is supposed to be our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify..
It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain.
They need your prayers day and night.
5. And lastly comes our Little finger - the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others.
Here the charm is, By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put
into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively !!!!!.
The thought behind this is very beautiful, something to deeply ponder upon- ( at an intellectual level)
1) Firstly, developing a sense of deep gratitude for all those who have individually helped shape your life.
And it is not a one time deed. One has to constantly remember and practice this to remain in 'shape'.
(Ego flab needs to be controlled)
2) Secondly, your own safety, survival, happiness, existence, your whole being is related to others,
in fact it is because of others.
We are all inter-dependently linked and thus our welfare is also linked with others' welfare and vice-versa.
A beautiful prayer in Sanskrit thus speaks..
"Sarve te sukhina santu hu, (May all be Happy)
Sarve santu niramaya, (May all be Healthy)
Sarve bhadraani pashyantu, (May all see and experience auspicious thing)
Ma kashchid Dukhamaapnuyaat …." (May none suffer)
Om shanti, shanti, shanti. (May there be peace, peace, peace)
And the lure (kick-back) of this is still more alluring – ( at mystical level)
While you pray for the happiness of others, the cosmic intelligence is all out
to work for your well-being.
How?
Experience for yourself...

Impressive Thoughts.......
| CONFIDENCE: Once all village people decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer all people gathered and only one boy came with an umbrella.... Trust should be like the feeling of a one year old baby when you throw him in the air; he laughs.....because he knows you will catch him.... Every night we go to bed, we have no assurance to get up alive in the next morning but still we have plans for the coming day.... |
